Baltimore Chamber Orchestra seeks Fall Production Interns

The Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, led by Artistic Director Markand Thakar, is the premier chamber orchestra in the Mid-Atlantic region.  The Baltimore Chamber Orchestra High-School Internship Program is designed to engage high school students who have an interest in pursuing non-profit or orchestral studies at a college or professional level.  The internships are open to juniors or seniors who live or attend school in Baltimore City (where the BCO is headquartered) or Baltimore County (where the BCO performs).  Created by the BCO as a way to introduce young people to the exciting world of non-profit organizations and concert production, the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra Internship Program offers internships in rotating concentrations in two basic areas:  Production and Administration.  (more…)

Baltimore National Heritage Area seeks Part-Time Grants Administrator

The Baltimore Heritage Area Association serves as the management entity for the Baltimore National Heritage Area (BNHA). The heritage area is both federally designated as a heritage area as well as certified by the State of Maryland. Grants administration is a key aspect of the heritage area. The heritage area administers a local (City of Baltimore) small capital grant program, serves as a coordinating partner for the state’s Maryland Heritage Areas Authority Project Grants, and receives a significant amount of funding through grants as well for heritage area programs and operations. During the summer of 2014 the heritage area will also be unveiling a new grant program made possible by our federal funding as a designated national heritage area. (more…)

Young Audiences seeks Program Associate

Organization Description: Young Audiences/Arts for Learning, founded in Baltimore in 1950, is the country’s foremost arts-in-education non-profit organization. The Maryland chapter of Young Audiences (YA) provides more than 9,000 arts education opportunities to nearly 200,000 students, artists, and educators throughout the state each year.  The staff, board, and teaching artists of YA work tirelessly to generate opportunities for all students to imagine, create and realize their full potential through the arts.

Job Description: The Program Associate position is a part time position, with benefits providing support in the YA Program and Education Departments. The associate will work 20 hours per week. For the Program Department the associate will be responsible for inputting data into scheduling software, maintaining grant related paperwork and submitting them to the Maryland State Arts Council in a timely manner.
